I've been wondering the same about Black Pete, and I feel like it could go either way. I'm so curious to see if the show goes there enough for it to get touched upon!

Even when I like Bridgerton -- which I sometimes do -- I still hate Bridgerton, somehow. I've never really liked romance novels either despite being a huge romance nerd, though, so maybe it was just never gonna be FOR me! Half hour pirate comedies are the romance novels of my heart!
