I do still think I'd like to read a more gen story about Stede pitching the crew on Ed's return "for one night" to the ship that devolved into a rice sack onesie and a cat collar. And maybe Ed has to explain what a handy is. JUST EXPLAIN IT.
Hahaha, yes! I started trying to write a little bit of fic-shaped banter about both the origins of the rice sack onesie and cat bell ensemble, and then later Ed's probation finally being lifted and saying farewell to that lil' look, because it just comedically obsesses me. Neither of these fics actually sparked to life, though. I'm awful at actually wanting to write OFMD fic -- I think I just love it too much as a canon entity? I just want to see more canon in front of my eyes! -- so I did not keep going, but gosh, it's fun to daydream about. I keep fantasizing about DVD sets with The Office levels of deleted scenes. You know so many amazing antics had to have been cut for time!
And several times I've laughed thinking about the FotC episode where Jemaine dates a thuggish Australian lass (looks at Eddie Redcliffe). KEITHA FOREVERRRRRRR
