They canceled Our Flag Means Death today. I know creator/showrunner David Jenkins was near-saint levels of positive in his post, so allow me to be a sour apple:
1) Nice that they added OFMD icons to Max this season! Cool!
2) Cool that they added merch as a big cash grab! Cool!
3) Cool that they renewed Chuck Lorre's dumbfuck looking show that I have not heard a SINGLE PERSON TALK ABOUT OR MENTION. Cool!

I'd like to politely invite the lead execs at Max to kick rocks and/or eat shit. They'd better fucking release some DVDs or blooper reels or something. Dumb assholes.

(Sigh, just saw that there was some low-level Internet drama speculating that the show didn't renew because Taika wasn't available/interested. GOD FANDOM. CAN'T YOU BE FUCKING COOL FOR ONE GD MINUTE?)

Anyway I look forward to rewatching this before my Max subscription ends mid-month. Sorry, Jodie Foster. I would have stuck around to watch you but for having to give the middle finger to Max.

Right?? I feel exactly the same! Also still grieving my beloved silly and magical Saved By The Bell reboot. (Sidenote: I cannot believe that formidable fandom and pop culture behemoth OFMD has the same number of seasons as the very obscure and barely watched SBTB reboot. Make it make sense!)

I am still very firmly in Anger in DABDA and thus cannot do what the renewal folks are asking and email Max positively about this. I just want to whip garbage at David Zaslav's car. It'd be lovely if something happened. I want something to happen. But I think the wrong guy is in charge to make that happen.

I feel you!! I sent emails earlier because, like, I'll 100% lie and pretend to be friendly when really I am fuming in the name of feeling like I'm doing a tiny bit of something! The odds of success are perhaps low, considering how terrible this dude is, but better to be a thorn in his side while we can!!!

I really keep hoping that maybe another streaming service will take notice and want to get in on some of that Deranged Fanbase Action.

Also I really loved watching the #HoistTheAds campaign raise their asked-for $10k in 40 minutes.

#HoistTheAds is the plan by Renew As A Crew to get a Save Our Show billboard in Times Square and a few other promotional things circulating. The fundraising goal for it got met stupid fast!

I also loved to see Stu aka the WWDITS movie vampires' #1 guy spreading the support. (And Jemaine!) Not really for any sort of practical triumph reason, but just because it got me in the ConchordsDarbyWaititi-'verse heart! Gosh, I've been hanging out there a long time.

I'm so glad the fanbase is so passionate and is leaning in. I saw on Xitter that we weren't reading tea leaves and it was almost renewed until, it seems, a last minute execution from up top. Perhaps there is hope if the fanbase is loud enough and Bloys can point to it as a further money making opportunity.

PS I'm also rewatching S1 like you and that eye contact between Lucius and Izzy is WILD. Pretty sad we never got an engagement gift threescore implied.

Right?????? I feel like that moment is honestly the one the most crackling with palpable sexual tension in the entire series by far. Pouring one out for the Izzy/Lucius possibilities!!!!!!!!!
